So Far, So Good...

We recently made an offer on a house in Round Rock Ranch. It's a fantastic neighborhood right in the middle of Round Rock with 20-minute commutes for both of us. After a bit of back-and-forth, we seem to have reached an agreement on price, so unless there are any catastrophes (which is definitely possible), we'll be homeowners soon!

We're getting an amazing deal on this house. It's 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and almost 2,000 square feet. Downstairs it has a 'den,' formal living room, formal dining room, and a GIGANTIC pantry. Here's the view when you walk in the front door:

The backyard is absolutely GINORMOUS. It's as wide as 3 of the lots behind it. Here's a picture that doesn't even do it justice:

At the top of the stairs, there's a game room that overlooks the balcony. There are 2 small-ish bedrooms upstairs, and the master bedroom sits over the garage with some seriously awesome windows:

Part of the reason we're getting such a great deal is we WILL have to do a bit of work on it. We'll probably have to replace the carpet downstairs, and there are a lot of scuff marks on the walls. But we were going to paint anyway, and we both would love to have laminate hardwood floors, so we see this as an opportunity. Look for angry posts from me later when I install laminate floors!

If all goes according to plan, we'll be closing on Feb. 13, and moving in shortly thereafter. Stay tuned!
